Right-back, Josh Nearney has been added to Chris Hardy’s increasing injury list ahead of tonight’s Integro League Cup clash with Pickering Town.
The defender, who returned to the club from Whitley Bay recently, has put in some solid performances at the back for the Blues so far, so he could be a miss for Hardy this evening.
Nearney’s absence is also a blow due to the shortage of defenders currently at Chris Hardy disposal, also due to injuries in that area of the field.
Some positive defensive news is that the Seasiders will gain the experience of Lee Bullock, who will return to the squad for tonight’s clash.
Jassem Sukar is also another option after his one-match suspension was served in Saturday’s defeat to Nantwich Town at the Weaver Stadium.
Also returning tonight will be midfielder, Dominic Furness, who was unavailable for Saturday’s match in Cheshire due to other commitments.
In terms of squad members unavailable tonight, striker, Matty Tymon and goalkeeper, Daniel Dixon make up that list, as well as Jack Norton, Ashley Coffey and Greg Rutherford who are all ruled out through injury.
The Seasiders will also have to wait on fitness tests for midfielders, David McTiernan and Dale Hopson, who have missed the last few games.
