McWilliams and Norton return for Stafford visit

Left-back, Daniel McWilliams and goalkeeper, Jack Norton are set to return to Chris Hardy’s match day squad for the visit of Stafford Rangers to the Turnbull Ground.

Both players were unable to travel to the midweek fixture against Warrington Town, however the pair will be available for selection as Stafford travel to the Yorkshire Coast.

However striker, Ashley Coffey will be unavailable for the clash due to commitments elsewhere leaving the manager a man short in the attacking department of the team.

Chris Hardy could also be without centre-back, Alex White who is recovering from illness with midfielder, Adam Gell waiting on assessment following a minor injury sustained prior to Tuesday night’s match.

Following the midweek defeat to Warrington, Hardy is hoping that his side can return to winning ways as they bid to finish the campaign as strongly as possible.

The Blues put in a spirited performance against the high-flyers at Cantilever Park which allowed the boss to take plenty of positives forwards.

“We’re looking to get positive results when we can,” Hardy said.

“We’ll hope to do that on Saturday and the boys will have dusted themselves down after a good test at Warrington, but we know where improvements need to be made.

“We’ve seen improvement on attendances over the course of the season and we hope that will improve again on Saturday, especially with it being Pay What You Want day. A big crowd would be great, so the more the merrier.”

You can PAY WHAT YOU WANT at the Turnbull Ground for the visit of Stafford Rangers. Please bring as many friends and family as possible.

If you’re unable to make it to the Turnbull Ground, there will be LIVE coverage on Yorkshire Coast Radio Extra (Whitby) with updates on Twitter.
