Kevin Burgess has expressed his delight at extending his second spell with a club he “loves” after agreeing to stay at the Turnbull Ground until the end of the 2017/18 season.
The defender extended his loan stay until the end of the current campaign after a string of full-blooded and impressive performances at the heart of the Blues’ defence.
BREAKING: After just missing out on Aymeric Laporte to Manchester City yesterday, by about £57 million and some smoked kippers, King Kev is a Seasider for the remainder of the 2017/18 season after agreeing to extend his loan deal from Darlington.

Burgess has been an ever present since initially rejoining in December, and is looking forward to continuing his second spell with the Seasiders.
“I’m more than happy to stay at the club for the rest of the season,” Burgess told whitby-town.com.
“I’m enjoying the second half of the season, playing and being back fit at a club that I’ve previously played for for around seven years. It’s a club I love and they’ve always looked after me as a player.
“I hope to keep putting in strong performances and giving 100%, as always, for Whitby Town.”
The club legend has also developed a good working relationship with his management team and fellow squad members, and is impressed at Chris Hardy’s desire to continually improve.
“We have got some good talent in the team, but I know Chris is always looking to strengthen and sets his standards high,” Burgess added.
“I’ve got a good relationship with Chardy, and have grown close to all the lads already. They’re a great bunch.”
