Midfielder ends loan stay

Cameron Salkeld has returned to Carlisle United

Salkeld’s Seaside stay comes to an end

Midfielder Cameron Salkeld has ended his loan spell with Whitby Town and returned to his parent club Carlisle United.

The young midfielder signed for the club in November from the League Two club, and featured in and around Chris Hardy’s plans during his two-month stay at the Turnbull Ground.

Salkeld made his Seasiders debut as a second half substitute in the 2-1 defeat to Witton Albion, before making his first start in the 1-0 North Riding Senior Cup defeat to Redcar Athletic.

His final Blues appearance came in the 5-0 defeat to Lancaster City, earlier this month, and the young midfielder has sat on the bench since.

Everyone at Whitby Town would like to wish Cameron all the best for the future.
