Daniel Dixon is expected to line up between the sticks for Whitby Town at Halesowen Town, with on-loan goalkeeper Ryan Whitley missing out.

The young gloveman’s absence was confirmed by Chris Hardy on Twitter, a thigh strain ruling him out for the trip to the West Midlands.

Whitley also confirmed the news on his own Twitter account, wishing stand-in stopper Daniel Dixon good luck in the process.

Hardy will also be without the services of captain Steven Snaith, who serves a one-game suspension after accumulating five yellow cards.

Other absentees include striker John Campbell, who continues his recovery from an ankle injury, and Connor Dunlavey, who is still ruled out thanks to a groin strain.

The Blues’ last trip to the Grove saw a 2-0 defeat for the Seasiders, thanks to goals from Tristian Dunkley and George Bowerman either side of half-time.

The last meeting, however, was far more positive for Hardy’s side, Whitby running out 4-1 winners over the Yeltz, thanks to goals from Mikey Roberts, Matthew Tymon, Dale Hopson and David Carson.
