Whitby Town defender, Kieran Weledji is ruled out of this afternoon’s Buildbase FA Trophy First Qualifying Round match at the Turnbull Ground due to injury.
Weledji received the Bowland Brewery Player of the Month Award for August and has continued to put in several more solid performances since then.
The defender’s absence comes after he was forced off with injury during last Saturday’s excellent 4-0 battering of Mickleover in the Evo-Stik Premier.
Another defensive concern for Chris Hardy will be September’s Player of the Month, Alex White who is will need to pass a late fitness test before a decision is made as to whether or not he can feature against Witton Albion.
A definite absentee this afternoon is striker, Ashley Coffey who continues to recover from his injury sustained over the summer. Coffey has recently conducted light training.
Fellow striker, Greg Rutherford is also a doubt for the tie. The summer signing has also returned to training recently but again will need to prove that he is ready to take part before Chris Hardy can put his name back on the team sheet.
The Blues will also be without suspended top scorer, Junior Mondal who was dismissed last weekend after picking up two yellow cards.
Admission at the Turnbull Ground is Adults £10, Concessions £6, U18s £3 and U16s FREE (with a paying adult).
