Chris Hardy’s first team selection since confirming he will stay on as Whitby Town boss will be a hard one with a new name added to the already long injury list.

Versatile player, Kieran Weledji, who has been seen playing in a central-midfield position over recent weeks has been confirmed as an absentee for tonight’s game against Warrington Town at the Turnbull Ground.

Captain and also midfielder, Steven Snaith, will continue on the sidelines for this one due to suspension.

Andrew May’s hamstring injury is also continuing to rule him out, most likely until the end of the season later this month. The defensive area may be of great concern to the Blues boss at the moment after the Seasiders have shipped eight goals in their last two games, without reply.

Luke Bythway remains injured and will return in pre-season after having his knee operation yesterday. Like Weledji, Bythway is a versatile player who will be missed by Chris Hardy as he offers various positions to the Whitby gaffer.

Callum Patton will also serve the final match of his suspension, following his dismissal in the 1-0 victory over Coalville in earlier this month.

Whitby do have some good news going into tonight’s game however, with new signing, Guilherme Baltazar Jr, entering the squad tonight. The Hartlepool youngster is deemed an exciting player with lots of potential and many Seasiders supporters will be excited to see him in action.

Please come along the the Turnbull if you can and give the squad a lift after the recent disappointments. Adults £10, Concessions £6 and Children U16 FREE (with a paying adult). If you are unable to attend, you can also find LIVE coverage on Whitby Town Radio with Andrew Snaith, Paul Connolly and Liam Ryder from 7:45pm.
