Whitby Town will end what has been a disappointing season in what is hoped to be a bumper crowd at the Turnbull Ground on Pay What You Want Day against Buxton.
As well as the frustrating way in which this season has unfolded, Chris Hardy will also be grateful for the end due to a number of injuries, particularly in defence with Kieran Weledji, Kev Burgess and Luke Bythway out on the sidelines.
Down the other end of the field, Hardy is pleased to welcome Matty Tymon back to the line-up after he has been out for three matches due to suspension.
It is expected that Andy Monkhouse will retain the captain’s armband for the season’s finale with Steven Snaith also out after rupturing an already injured foot in the 5-1 defeat to Grantham Town.
The Blues come into this one on the back of Tuesday’s capitulation against Rushall Olympic who came away from the Turnbull with all three points despite being two goals down. However, the Seasiders recorded their first victory at the Silverlands since 2012 in the reverse fixture back in September with goals from Matty Tymon and James Risborough who has since moved on to Stockton Town.
Today is Pay What You Want Day at the Turnbull Ground so bring family and friends along to try and push the Seasiders to a final day victory. There will also be LIVE coverage on Whitby Town Radio with Paul Connolly and Andrew Snaith for those who are unable to attend. Also keep an eye out on social media for updates throughout the match.
