Yesterday morning, Whitby Town confirmed that Daniel Rowe had signed for the club from Evo-Stik Divison One East side, Frickley Athletic.
Rowe is capable of playing in several positions including centre-back, right-back, and central-midfield, something of which can only be a positive for Chris Hardy.
And after taking part in training last night, Rowe is now looking forward to pulling on a Whitby Town shirt and playing on a regular basis at the Turnbull Ground.
“I’m looking forward to get going,” said Rowe.
“We’re training tonight (yesterday), and I’m looking forward to the test ahead for myself. It will be a new test for me playing in the Evo-Stik Premier.
“I haven’t played in this league yet, but I’m looking forward to challenging myself having been in the league below for the past six months, but I know the standard.”
When asked about what he thought that he would bring to this Whitby Town side, Rowe stated that he likes to be on the ball, and play good football.
Whilst believing these are his strengths, Rowe wants to prove to supporters just what he can do when put in various match scenarios.
“I like to be quite aggressive in my play,” Rowe admitted.
“I like to get the ball down and play, and I feel like I’m quite composed on the ball, but the supporters will have to see that for themselves on match days.
“I hope that I can bring quite a bit to the team, and help them clime the table if possible. I’ve heard good things about the club which attracted me to come here.”
