Jamie Poole is set to return to the Whitby Town lineup this evening after missing Saturday’s emphatic 3-0 victory due to other commitments.
This is positive news for Chris Hardy, who found himself short on numbers, particularly in defence, on Saturday afternoon against Marine on Merseyside.
The ongoing injuries to Kieran Weledji, Kev Burgess and Luke Bythway being the main reasons for the shortage of numbers in the defensive areas of the pitch.
Captain, Steven Snaith, also remains out for the visit of Rushall Olympic. It is likely that his season is over with Saturday’s visit of Buxton finishing the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League season for the Blues.
In attack, Matty Tymon will serve the final match of his three match suspension following his red card received against Warrington Town. This should be of little concern to the Blues’ boss however, after Anthony Hume put in a Man of the Match performance against the Mariners at the weekend.
Recent signing, Guilherme Balthazar Jr, will also feature within the match day squad. The youngster is yet to make an appearance for the Blues.
Looking back at the reverse fixture between these two sides, supporters witnessed a thrilling 3-3 draw. The Seasiders found themselves 3-0 down after only ten minutes at a snowy Dales Lane. Matty Tymon scored a double with Junior Mondal finishing brilliantly from 25 yards to somehow salvage, what initially seemed an improbable comeback.
