Monkhouse the latest injury concern

Midfielder, Andy Monkhouse is the latest name added to a growing injury list ahead of tonight’s match with Matlock Town.

Monkhouse, who has featured in defence for the last two matches, is considered a doubt for the clash with the Gladiators leaving Chris Hardy with some thinking to do whilst choosing his back-line.

The former Rotherham United and Hartlepool man joins Lee Bullock on the defensive injury list along with Alex White, who will be unavailable until next Tuesday.

Another defensive option, Jassem Sukar, is also a concern ahead of the trip to the Midlands. Despite Sukar featuring in midfield for the last few games, he would be another capable option at the back for Hardy.

Despite surprisingly featuring at the weekend, Greg Rutherford is ruled out at Causeway Lane. Chris Hardy did state after Saturday’s match that Rutherford wanted to play despite having a knock.

As well as struggles defensively, it looks as if the attack could also suffer tonight with Matty Tymon also remaining a doubt after picking up an initial dead leg in the Bank Holiday Monday derby with Scarborough Athletic.

Carl Lawson is also a doubt in the attack, leaving Chris Hardy with another selection headache at Causeway Lane this evening.

Admission at Causeway Lane is Adults £10, Concessions £6.50, Students (with valid student card) £5, U18s £3, U10s FREE.
