Thursday lunchtime brought the welcome news as the top scorer of the 2016/17 season, Dale Hopson, returned to the Turnbull Ground.
Hopson admitted that another returning player, Dave McTiernan, played a key role in his decision to make the move back to the Seasiders for the upcoming season.
“Dave McTiernan had a big part to play, I trust Macca,” Hopson told Paul Connolly after his transfer was completed midweek.
The 25 year-old also took the opportunity to thank staff and fans, who were part of the reasoning for his return to Chris Hardy’s squad.
“I get along with the staff, the fans are really friendly and I’ve always seemed to be liked herald obviously that plays a big part in my return.”
