Whitby Town is delighted to announce that Adam Gell has rejoined the club from Shildon.
The midfielder, who departed in the middle of last season, returns to the club from the Northern League side for an undisclosed fee, reuniting with manager Chris Hardy.
Thanks to generous donations, the deal was able to go ahead with a contribution from the club’s 1926 Club, making Gell the first player to be signed using funds from the pot.
Gell starts his second spell with the Seasiders, being remembered in his first for a thirty-yard thunderbolt against Barwell in 2016 to keep the club in the Evo-Stik Premier.
The 2017 North Riding Senior Cup winning midfielder goes straight into Saturday’s squad for the visit of Buxton to the Turnbull Ground.
