Whitby Town has continued its excellent summer business, with Davey Carson signing a new two-year contract extension with the Seasiders.
Considered as the player to replace Dale Hopson’s influential role in the Blues side, Carson committed himself to the task by putting pen to paper with Chris Hardy.
The attacking midfielder recently joined up with the Jamie Vardy V9 Academy, which could have potentially allowed him to join up with a professional Football League side. With this in mind, the player has showed his commitment to pushing the Blues towards promotion in the coming season.
The player has already stated his intent for the season with two goals in the Seasiders opening pre-season friendly victory against Billingham Town, one of which was very well taken after beating his marker.
Carson only joined Whitby Town last season from South Shields, but as a method of removing any interest from other clubs, Hardy was determined to ensure that one of his key figures in the squad will remain.
