Whitby Town Football Club’s press team is delighted to announce that well known football photographer Dan Kendall has agreed to join us for the forthcoming season as part of our media team.
Dan, who displays his football work under the social media handle @thisismylovefc will work to further the club’s branding and visual identity as we look to improve all aspects of the club’s profile.
Blues press officer Paul Connolly is delighted with the move, and believes linking up with Kendall will bring a number of benefits to both parties.
“This is a great move for the club, and it will really help us to increase our social media presence,” Connolly told www.whitby-town.com.
“Dan has built a strong following on the back of his excellent football photography, working for a number of well-known magazines and websites from around the world, not to mention a premier league football club; it was a no-brainer to ask him to join the club on a permanent basis.”
“When he’s been involved with us over the last season, his work has been fantastic and popular with the players and supporters, as indeed has Dan himself.”
“Forming a media partnership between ourselves and Dan will create a number of exciting opportunities to grow our brand and engage with a wider circle of supporters.”
“We’re always looking to go a step further and push the boundaries when it comes to media output and this is another positive step in doing that.”
The enthusiasm was shared by Kendall, who is also excited by the opportunities the link-up can bring.
“It became apparent very quickly that Paul Connolly and Chris Hardy are running a superb set-up at Whitby Town,” Kendall said.
“It’s progressive, open and most importantly, joined up on and off the pitch.”
“When Paul and Chris offered me the chance to formally tie up with them for the coming season, it was a no-brainer.”
“I’m delighted to have the chance to capture the inner workings of a proper football club and share those with fans, existing and new. Paul and Chris have a clear vision for pushing the club forward and I’m committed to helping them deliver on that.”
