HARRY DUNN

DOB 5-9-1953. Whitby's most successful ever manager returned for a second spell in May 2009, having taken rivals Blyth Spartans to the FA Cup Third Round just months earlier. Harry led the Blues to consecutive promotions from Northern League to Unibond Premier between 1997 and 1999, also winning the FA Vase at Wembley Stadium and reaching the FA Cup First Round on three occasions in a nine-year stint at the club. As a player, with Scarborough, he made 265 appearances, scoring 65 goals and gaining two FA Trophy winners medals, netting in the 1977 final at Wembley against Dagenham
BOB SCAIFE Jr

DOB 12-10-55. Son of legendary former Blues' chairman Bob Scaife Snr, Bob Jnr returned to the club as Harry Dunn's assistant in June 2009, after a distinguished spell as his predecessor, before Dunn's first reign, from 1990-95. In 1993, Bob won the Northern League First Division title but the Seasiders were controversially denied promotion on a technicality beyond their control. Bob also won two championships at Dunston Federation, before taking charge at Billingham Synthonia. A former professional with Middlesbrough, he made nearly 200 Football League appearances for Hartlepool United, Halifax Town and Rochdale.
 DAVID CAMPBELL

D.O.B 06.10.70. The club's longest-serving player, currently in his third spell with the Seasiders. An evergreen goalkeeper and the third-highest all-time appearance-maker with over 400 games played, including back to back promotions in 1996-98 and the FA Vase success of 1997. Winner of last season's Supporters' Player of the Year.
 NICK LIVERSEDGE

D.O.B 16.07.88. Signed for the Blues in July 2010 after being released from Darlington. Nick is no stranger to the Turnbull Ground after a previous loan spell in 2009, when he turned in some very impressive displays and quickly became a firm favourite with supporters. At 6’4”, Nick commands his area well and is agile with good handling. A confident goalkeeper who inspires all around him.
 ANDREW LEESON

Signed from D.O.B 27.09.82. South-African-born Andrew joined from Harry Dunn's previous club Blyth Spartans in September 2009. Quickly established himself as a very reliable and versatile player, usually found on the right of defence, but sometimes up front. Lees scored in Spartans' 2008 FA Cup run against Shrewsbury, and made over 200 appearances for the Northumberland club.
 IBRAHIM HASSAN

D.O.B 02.03.88. Versatile 20-year-old who came through Chester Le Street's highly-rated youth setup, via fellow Northern-Leaguers Jarrow Roofing. A committed player with boundless energy and a willingness to tackle whether playing anywhere across the defence or in midfield. 'Ibby' was tracked by then-Blyth manager Harry Dunn, and became Dunn's first signing on his return to Whitby Town in July 2009, picking up the online player of the season award, ten months later.
 DARREN CRADDOCK

D.O.B 23.02.85. Darren returned for a second spell at Whitby in July 2010, after a seven-match loan as a teenager in 2003. Now, a highly-experienced natural right-sided defender, Darren began his career at Hartlepool United, before moving to York City. After leaving City, he signed for Newcastle Blue Star before joining Blyth Spartans in 2009, where he made 20 appearances in the Blue Square North.

D.O.B 24.07.81. Experienced left-sided defender, a good leader, who signed in the summer of 2010, making his debut in a 3-2 win over Mickleover Sports at the Turnbull Ground. Former clubs include Hartlepool United,York City,Stockport County & Torquay United
KEVIN BURGESS

D.O.B 08.1.88. Players' Player of the Year Kev, began his career at Middlesbrough, before joining Darlington in 2006. He impressed while on loan at the Turnbull Ground two years later, and when released by the Quakers over the following summer, the Blues acted quickly to sign the talented ball-playing centre-half on a permanent deal.
ASHLEY LYTH

D.O.B 14.06.82. Signed in the summer of 2007 from Scarborough FC, Ashley has Football League and Conference experience. Leicester City signed him for £100,000 in 2001 before returning to Boro following a serious leg injury, two years later. Whitby born and bred Ash, is a skilful competitor and inspires all around him with his commitment and confidence, he is also the older brother of Yorkshire CCC batsman Adam Lyth.
 STEVE OAKLEY

D.O.B 01.05.91. Towering 6'4"+ centre-half Steve was scouted by Harry Dunn for weeks whilst playing for Coxhoe in the Wearside League. A successful pre-season trial later saw him sign for the Blues in August 2010.
 SHAUN LAMBERT

D.O.B 09.12.91. Came through the under-19 ranks at Town, securing a man of the match award on his league debut at the age of 17 against Ilkeston, who were later promoted. A versatile youngster who can play on the wing, in midfield or at right-back.
 ROBBIE HAWKES

D.O.B 12.01.89. A skilful and determined wide man who also knows the way to goal. Picked up from Scarborough Town on their demise in August 2010 and showed plenty of promise during pre-season.
JIMMY BEADLE

D.O.B 23.06.88. Voted one of the Northern Premier League's top three players after finishing as Town's 15-goal top scorer, from midfield, last season. Signed on loan from York City with the move becoming permanent in October 2008, Jimmy is a skilful player who likes to get forward in support. A fearsome tackler who always giving 100%, reads the game well, and inspires those around him.
TONY HACKWORTH
 Position: Midfield

D.O.B 19.5.80. The only Whitby player who has Champions League experience, appearing at Barcelona’s Nou Camp while with Leeds United. Hacky’s a tall, classy playmaker who went on to represent Notts County and Scarborough before joining the Blues upon the latter's demise in the summer of 2007. Following a spell at Harrogate Town, he re-joined the Seasiders for the 2008/09 season, completing Graeme Clark and Phil Brumwell’s list of targeted summer signings. Harry Dunn made him skipper in August 2009.
 LEON SCOTT

D.O.B 05.06.86. Leon is capable of playing at full back, out wide, or in the middle of the park and signed from Newcastle Blue Star in September 2008. The classy left-sided player announced himself with a man of the match performance and an amazing late winning goal over Trafford in the F.A.Trophy. He later moved to Harrogate Town, before returning to the Turnbull in September 2009, initially on loan.
 DAVE McTIERNAN

D.O.B 13.07.84. A tricky and popular winger who rejoined Whitby in the summer of 2010 after an absence of three years. 'Macca' then broke a record when scoring Newcastle Blue Star's SECOND goal on 47 seconds in a 2008 Northern Premier League First Division outing. He later joined Blue Square North Harrogate Town.
 ANDY CAMPBELL

DOB 18-4-79. D.O.B 18.4.79. Former Middlesbrough marksman, best known on Teesside for his goal in Boro's 2-0 FA Cup win over Manchester United in the late 90s. Campbell made 65 appearances for his hometown club, before several loan spells and a lengthy stay at Cardiff City. Campbell signed for the Blues on loan from Bradford Park Avenue in November 2009 and netted a volleyed winner in a 2-1 success over Stocksbridge on his home league debut. Unsuprisingly, Harry Dunn made the move permanent before the end of the season.

D.O.B 07.06.89. Harry Dunn snapped up this prolific marksman from Wearside League Wolviston, whilst scouting Steve Oakley in the same game. Battling forward who netted within seven minutes of his debut on the opening day of the 2010/11 season.
