UniBond Premier Division

Team - Campbell, Lyth, A.Gildea, Ingram, Burgess, Hanson, Dalton, Hackworth, Blott, Beadle, Charlton - Subs: Raw, L.Gildea, Ormerod, Tymon

Report - COURTESY OF THE WHITBY GAZETTE - Whitby Town shot up to seventh in the UniBond Premier with a 2-0 win at North Ferriby last night. Goals from Ryan Blott and Karl Charlton secured the points as boss Harry Dunn described it as the best performance of the season so far.
"We could have been four or five goals up at half-time and we played exceptionally well in the first half," said Dunn.
"Ferriby came out with an extra forward and put pressure on the first 15 minutes of the second half but had one effort on goal which keeper Dave Campbell did well to stop.
"We were disciplined, shut the game down and it was our best display so far by a country mile."
The only blow for Whitby was ankle injuries to Liam Gildea and Ged Dalton, both from heavy challenges, leaving them doubtful for the bank holiday fixtures. Dunn said every single one of the players involved made a good, solid contribution.
"We've got two hard games coming up and it was vitally important to get something. "If we keep going as we have been, we should have a decent season."
