Report - from www.hucknalltownfc.co.uk).
Goose was ill on wednesday so our usual reporter was missing hence the lack of Whitby Town perspective. Hopefully a report may also be nickable from the Gazette website on Friday!!

by Andy Donaldson - Hucknall's first 0-0 draw of the season, saw them stretch their lead at the top of the table to 12 points, in a game where both sides provided good entertainment for the crowd, despite them both playing their 3rd game in 5 days. Whitby had the first effort, a long range effort going wide, before Andy Todd for the visitors saw a header blocked, and Leon McSweeny shot just wide. Both sides pushed forward, seeking the opening goal but clear cut chances were few and far between, as both defences held sway. Gary Ricketts had a good chance for Hucknall, but was closed down as he took one touch to many, and shortly after Danny Mayman hit the woodwork from a 20 yard free kick. Whitby force 3 corners, but could not make the pressure pay, and at the other end, Danny Bacon headed over from a Hucknall corner kick
Half time Whitby 0 Hucknall 0
The home side had the first chance of the second half, but Paul Campbell's snap shot from 20 yards went over the bar. Just after the hour mark, a Hucknall free kick, saw Nathan Winder head just wide, and on the break from a Whitby attack, Andy Todd saw a 20 yard shot go wide of the goal. With just 5 minutes left, Paul Pettinger saved with his feet, after Steve Johnson was put through, and with that effort went the last chance to change the scoreline. The point gained will be of more use to Hucknall than Whitby, and Hucknall now go on their travels again this weekend, needing only 10 points from their last 8 games to seal the title
