Two Dale Hopson penalties helped the Seasiders to a comfortable Bank Holiday victory against managerless Frickley.
After a dominant first half, Hopson was handed a chance to break the deadlock, from 12 yards, just after the hour, when Frickley were reduced to ten men, and the midfielder made no mistake. Nine minutes later and it was deja’ vu, minus the sending off, as Hopson fired home from the penalty spot again for 2-0.
Mikey Roberts then got in on the act with his first strike of the season accompanied by animated celebrations from last season’s 23-goal top scorer. Right at the end, substitute Curtis Round then unleashed a worldy from distance to put the icing on the cake in a 4-0 victory.
